Forest Holidays, which provides cabin breaks across the UK, needed to increase brand trust and awareness amongst its audience in a cost-effective way.
We identified the difficulty of keeping regular contact with the camping community through print and radio advertising, and the opportunity to nurture this audience online instead. In order to initially attract fans to Facebook and Twitter, we created a competition app that encouraged entrants to spread the word for the chance to win an iPad2.
Once the fans had been drawn to the page, we provided regular, interesting, customer-focused information, to keep fans coming back and keep Forest Holidays top of mind.
Four weeks after the campaign was launched, Likes on Facebook had increased by 3000%, from 134 to 4,891 and followers on Twitter had risen from 101 to 845.
