The Kaleidoscope Plus Group is a West Midlands based charity working to promote and support better mental health and wellbeing in the region and further afield.

Prior to April 2013 we operated under the umbrella of the national Mind charity as Sandwell Mind, but over the past 12 months or so it was becoming increasingly clear that this affiliation was limiting our ambitions to expand geographically and in terms of our service offering.

To move forward we needed to become a fully independent organisation with a new name and identity and following a competitive tender we invited CW Content Works to manage our rebranding.

Much needed to be done in a short space of time, including consultation with all stakeholders, new name suggestions, new logo, new branding, creation of corporate identity guidelines, internal and external communication, launch event.

CW’s experience suggested they were well qualified to manage all elements of the project and we were delighted we had them on board when, just after we started work on the project, for legal reasons the deadline for the official launch was brought forward by a month. CW rose to this challenge admirably and were a calming and reassuring influence throughout.

They were proactive and supportive every step of the way – a seamless extension to our in-house team. CW conducted a survey and facilitated focus groups to ensure that feedback from employees, volunteers, the executive team, service users, trustees and commissioners was fully incorporated into their recommendations for the new name, logo, look and feel.

They really understood the brief and how important and sensitive this project was, especially for many of our service users for whom any change can be extremely unsettling.

We were particularly impressed with CW’s customer care. Everyone on their team was responsive, professional and friendly; it was a pleasure working with them.

What’s more their creative ideas hit the mark and nailed all our objectives. People here are genuinely excited about the new name & identity and overall feedback continues to be overwhelmingly positive.
